Is today another one of those days when everything goes wrong? One chaotic experience after another and your mood is getting worse and worse? Or are you plagued by negative thoughts? Then here are 5 tips and tricks to help you feel happier and in a better mood right away.

I’m sure there are lots of good tips on how to be happy and be in a good mood.
It’s important to me in my articles that you can apply these tips yourself and put them into practice immediately.

From an early age, we look for our happiness on the outside and think that other people, circumstances or things will make us happy or not. “If I have this car, then I will be happy” or: “If I have achieved this and that in life, then…”.

We make ourselves dependent on external circumstances….
The fact is that these situations evoke feelings in us

Here are my 5 favorites to instantly improve your mood and be happier in the long run!

1.) Laughter

Now you must think Runar has completely lost it. I don’t feel like laughing at all. Studies have shown that our emotions are influenced by our facial expressions and posture. This means that when you laugh and pull the corners of your mouth upwards, your brain thinks you are happy and in a good mood. This should last for at least 60 seconds. So, try it out while you keep looking. Smile, hang your top row of teeth out to dry while you continue watching this video. There’s definitely nothing like laughter to instantly put you in a good mood.

By the way, children laugh much more than we adults, think about it.

2.) Listen to music

Music promotes a good mood. And when you listen to your favorite songs, you automatically feel better. What else can you do? Nowadays, in the digital world we live in with all the possibilities, create one or more “good mood” playlists that you can then access immediately on your cell phone or PC. And your mood will be on the rise. However, I have gone one step further. I run my own “good mood” Internet radio station. It’s called RSMUSIC.EU and only plays good mood songs. It was important to me that when I listen to the station, I immediately feel in a good mood. Have a listen. The link is in the description. Of course you can also suggest songs and write them in the comments that I would like to include in the program.

3.) Arrange or talk to friends

Friends are there for you when you’re not feeling well. You can talk to them about your problems. They will cheer you up, help you and possibly give you valuable tips. Maybe you can do something together so that you are distracted and get back in a better mood. It’s best to call a friend straight away and arrange to meet up as soon as you both have time.

It may not always be possible in the current situation, I am aware of that. However, I’m confident that we’ll soon be able to have a more active social life again. Otherwise, you can have a video chat or make an old-fashioned phone call.

But don’t just talk about how bad you feel and moan all the time. This will make you focus only on the problem, but think of a solution or something completely different that will cheer you up or distract you.

4.) Write down moments of happiness

These are two exercises together. Firstly, become aware and write down your moments of happiness from the last few days. By focusing on positive events, you will also feel better. Celebrate your successes, what did you do well, what was particularly fun?

5.) Learn to say no

Yes, by learning to say “no” more often, you will feel better in the long run and you will have less stress. Feel inside yourself for what reasons you can’t say “no”?

Two reasons are 1) the need to be needed: You help other people and that makes you feel good. You think so. Because if the whole thing degenerates into a helper syndrome, you will fall short and be unhappy.

or 2.) to be afraid of missing something.

Be that as it may, if you say “yes” when you would rather say no, it creates stress in you because you are not being authentic to yourself.
